Dianelis, can you tell us more about yourself and how you got involved in the photography business?

I started taking photographs when I was studying 2nd year of my career as an architect. I just started doing architectural photography.

How did you focus specifically on fashion and beauty photography? What does fashion mean to you?

I was interested in doing fashion and beauty photography because I knew designers, models and actors who came to me proposing this type of work, which I liked and involved

Dianelis, how would you describe your photographic vision? What kind of look are you trying to create in your photos?

I try to be a genuine photograph and with my own stamp. I like that they are photographs that exalt the product or beauty whatever its nature and taking into account that everything is beautiful and unique, therefore, it will always be worth photographing.

What inspires you and what gives you ideas to create your beautiful images? Can your ideas change depending on the model you are working with?

Inspiration can come from everywhere, from music, from painting, from the people around me. I am always open to experiment in search of a better result, sometimes conditioned by the vibe of the model itself.

Could you explain the typical planning process for your images?

First I analyze the type of work that I have before me and the purpose of it. I always try to gather the work team, prior to the session to feel their vibes and to what extent they are willing to give themselves. Then I seek to build a concept for the aesthetics of the photographs according to the models and pieces with which I will work. I create a guide of the main images that should not be missing, but always leaving space to improvise and experiment with new things in the process of creation and realization.

Would you have any advice for non-models on how to look good in front of the camera?

Flow, just flow, if you feel insecure, close your eyes until you find your inner strength and keep flowing. Trust me and let yourself be guided.

Your projects are a collaborative process. Tell us what it's like to always be working with new stylists, models, and makeup artists.

It is one of the greatest gifts that I can take with me, human and professional quality, meeting new friends, because the work team must feel like a family to obtain optimal results, therefore, we must all be involved and connected, for this I recommend always friendly meetings prior to work, in case of having new people in the work team

What projects are you especially proud of? Why?

I did a series that I really liked about twins, using two pairs of brothers and also using mirrors. Discovering the twin life, duality and everything that this subject contains on a spiritual and quantum level, captivated me enormously. A beautiful collective exhibition was made of these where several photographers participated, all with their graphic points of view on the subject. It was an unforgettable experience.

Another project that marked my life was being a cinematographer in an independent film (still in process)

In your opinion, what makes a good image stand out from the average? How do you choose the images that you provide to your clients?

Creativity, innovation, genuineness, both in the use of techniques and in the perspectives and angles used.

The selection of images is a complex process, where you have to separate what you like, with what really works for whoever hires your work.

What projects are you working on next, and what are your goals for the future?

I am studying for a master's degree in Art Studies at IBERO, in Mexico, with an architecture photography project.

And as a future project I am working on a series that began some time ago that links architectural photography with editorial fashion photography.

Where can we see more of your work and connect with you?

On the Instagram platform I have my work account under the user @silenaid.ph , there you can review part of my work. I am working at the moment to launch my website from now on.
