Please briefly tell us about your background. Who is Atlana Groys as a model?

I am Atlana Groys. I’m a successful model and entrepreneur. I’m from a small town, and I currently live in Los Angeles, where I build my career and my future. I use my talents in modeling and performing arts to fulfill my life's ambitions and to leave my mark in this world. I believe every life can serve a greater purpose.

When did you first realize you wanted to pursue a career as a model?

I had dreamed of being a model from my childhood. I used to try on my dresses and made a fashion show for my family who were like my audience. But in my country, my dream turned out to be impossible. But I kept this dream to myself for a long time. When I came to LA I realized that now is the right time. Despite everything, I followed my dream in a new country in a new city.

Name three things on your bucket list?

Three things on my bucket list are: landing the cover of American Vogue, buying a beach house in Malibu for my parents and writing a book which becomes a bestseller in New York Times.

If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before beginning your career what would it be?

If I could give advice to the fledgling model I used to be, I’d tell her that she is stronger, smarter and more beautiful than she might believe at times. That no matter what everything is going to work out for the best.

How would you describe yourself at work in so many years of your career?

In the future I see myself as a leader or mentor, rather than a model. As strange as it may sound, I’d rather help become models and teach them how to modeling and pose.

What do you think is the hardest thing in your life you've ever had to overcome?

There have been many difficulties in my life, as you can see from my biography. Difficult family situation, difficult life moments. But the most difficult thing was to find your destination. I thought about this question a lot and had to do a lot of actions to reach what I have now. The search for myself and my destiny was the most difficult, but fascinating in my life. It was difficult to overcome the moment that what I had been doing for so long turned out to be not what I wanted to do, but all this led me to this and gave me experience. It was difficult to leave in the past every new area studied and go to something new, completely unknown. But I've never been afraid of it. Thanks to this, I am now where I am.

Do you have an all-time favorite photographer from your career?

I don’t have one favorite photographer. I try to find an approach to each person. I already have some life hacks that I use when working with photographers, and which help me to reveal any person who works with me and get the most out of this shooting.

What does life look like for you now and where do you see yourself in the future?

I started my way of modeling and this made me love being a stylist. After becoming a stylist, I realized that I see more projects from the outside as a producer and director. But the experience of the model gave me the opportunity to see this industry from the inside and develop a talent for producing and styling projects. And I realized that I like to manage the project. For example, this photoshoot you are watching now was totally styled by me. Before I had a team who helped me, but now I arrange all by myself.
