Blue in Amber is a series of beauty portraits photographed by Štěpán Lupač for MALVIE Magazine, with model Veronika Horáková.


Blue in Amber explores the interplay of color, texture, and human expression. The subject’s striking blue eyes emerge from a cocoon of warm, tactile textures, creating a compelling visual contrast between coolness and warmth, vulnerability and strength. About Blue in Amber

Blue in Amber frames Veronika Horáková's face inside a deep, fluffy amber hood. Her long dark hair falls around it and her pale blue eyes look up, away or straight into the lens, with soft rosy lips and a touch of red in the last frame.


Štěpán Lupač alternates warm colour frames with black-and-white versions, where the texture of the hood turns silver-grey. The close crops keep everything on the eyes and the expression.
