How did you connect with the concept of The Educated Muse? I loved the concept; it felt fun, feminine, and expressive. Being born and raised in San Diego, it was especially meaningful to shoot at my hometown’s main university. The setting naturally reinforced the idea of confidence shaped by growth and self-awareness. It allowed me to connect with the concept in a personal and authentic way.

How was your experience working with Mike?. My experience was great. Mike is very professional and creates a comfortable, collaborative environment. I always feel supported creatively, which allows me to express myself naturally. It never feels forced; it feels like we’re building something meaningful together.

How did you prepare for this shoot?I prepared by curating the looks and focusing on hair and makeup to align with the concept. Mentally, I focused on embodying calm confidence and being present in each moment. Understanding the mood helped me fully connect with the story we were creating.

What did this editorial represent to you personally? To me, it felt very studious and chic. It represented confidence, growth, and femininity in a thoughtful and composed way. I loved being able to express strength through softness and presence.

What was your favorite moment from the shoot? My favorite moments were when everything felt effortless. Being able to relax into the environment and simply exist within the concept made the experience feel authentic and meaningful.

How would you describe yourself as a model?

I would describe myself as easygoing, expressive, and open to collaboration. I enjoy bringing emotion and authenticity into every shoot. Modeling allows me to express different parts of myself creatively.

What message do you hope viewers take away from this editorial? I hope viewers feel inspired to embrace their confidence and individuality. I want them to connect with the idea that strength can be quiet, and that authenticity is what makes someone truly stand out.

What inspired the concept behind The Educated Muse?

The Educated Muse was inspired by the quiet strength that emerges from intellect, self-awareness, and presence. I wanted to explore femininity through a lens that emphasized composure and identity rather than spectacle. The academic environment naturally symbolizes discipline, growth, and personal evolution, which aligned perfectly with the story. My intention was to create imagery that felt timeless, where elegance is defined not by performance, but by confidence rooted in authenticity.

Why did you choose Destiny for this editorial?

Destiny possesses a rare ability to communicate emotion with subtlety and honesty. She brings intention, presence, and emotional intelligence into every frame. What stood out most was her grounded confidence and her ability to embody strength without force. This editorial required nuance and authenticity, and she instinctively understood the emotional tone. She didn’t simply pose within the environment; she brought the narrative to life.

How would you describe your creative approach during this shoot?

My approach was collaborative and intentional. I focused on creating an environment where Destiny felt fully present and connected to the space. Rather than over-directing, I guided the emotional tone and allowed her natural presence to shape the visual narrative. I relied on natural light and clean, balanced compositions to preserve authenticity and ensure the focus remained on her expression, energy, and story.

What does the title The Educated Muse represent to you?

To me, the title represents a modern evolution of the muse, someone who is not passive but self-aware, intellectual, and fully in command of her identity. Destiny embodies that evolution. Her presence reflects confidence shaped by experience, discipline, and personal growth. This editorial celebrates the modern woman as both the inspiration and the author of her own story.

What was the most memorable moment from the shoot?

The most memorable moments were the quiet, in-between moments, when Destiny was simply present, without performance or expectation. Those moments revealed the most honesty and emotional depth. They reflected the trust and collaboration we had built, and those were the moments where the story truly came alive.

What do you hope viewers take away from this editorial?

A: I hope viewers recognize that strength, elegance, and confidence often exist in subtlety. This editorial reflects the beauty of self-possession, intellect, and emotional authenticity.
