About EXPRESSIVENESS

In EXPRESSIVENESS! the styling stays deliberately bare: hair swept up with loose strands falling across the face, bare shoulders and a dark lip that reads as the only strong tone in the monochrome frames. That simplicity leaves all the attention on expression.


Roberto Romano moves close and keeps the light soft and even, so each image turns on a single gesture: a playful kiss, a hand cupped around one eye, fingers shaped into a frame, a sideways glance over the shoulder. Alexandra Aelenei shifts from mischief to calm from one frame to the next.
