About High Bred

High Bred is a study of sculpted hair. Against a soft grey backdrop, the three models pose bare-shouldered, their skin glowing, each with a towering updo: a smooth high bun crowned with a pale feather and a crystal pin, a braided chignon set with a blue star-shaped brooch, a double bun shaped like a bow with a gold medallion, and a full afro puff with a peacock feather.

Moshe Zusman alternates single portraits, in profile, over the shoulder or with hands framing the face, with frames of two and then all three models together. The makeup stays refined, with warm skin, defined brows and lips from nude to deep red, so that the craft of the hair and the jewelled ornaments set the tone: classic, regal and quietly confident.
