My take on Barbie outside —glossy black quilting, a sculpted corset, and purple crystal accents bring drama to this fashion story. Sleek hair frames silver smoky eyes, sweeping lashes, and pink ombré lips marked with a striking black cross. Bold pink and understated gray backdrops set the mood, while each portrait angle reveals another detail of the makeup and styling.

Who is Rachell Owens beyond the camera, and what qualities do you feel define you most as a woman?

Beyond the camera, I am a woman of ambition, creativity, determination, and individuality. I have a strong imagination, a love for beautiful things, and a desire to transform ideas into meaningful, memorable experiences. I believe in carrying myself with grace while remaining fearless about what I want to accomplish.

What defines me most is my ability to remain true to myself, embrace my uniqueness, and continue evolving without losing sight of who I am. I believe strength and femininity can exist beautifully together, and I strive to reflect both in my personal life and throughout my creative career.

What first drew you to modeling, and when did you know fashion was the path you wanted to follow?

What drew me to modeling was the beauty of transformation and the freedom of expression through fashion. I have always appreciated how a photograph can communicate elegance, strength, personality, and emotion without saying a word.

The more I explored modeling, the more I discovered how much I enjoyed the entire creative process—from developing a concept to expressing emotion in front of the camera and seeing the final image come to life. I knew I wanted to pursue this seriously when I realized I was not simply interested in wearing fashion; I wanted to create memorable imagery and tell stories through it.

Modeling gives me the opportunity to combine my imagination, personality, and appreciation for artistry into work that can connect with people anywhere in the world.

How has growing up and working in Detroit shaped your style, your confidence, and the way you see beauty?

Although I am not originally from Detroit, the city has played an important role in shaping my style, confidence, and creative perspective. Through adapting to my surroundings, learning from different experiences, and embracing the culture around me, I have developed a deeper appreciation for individuality, originality, and self-expression.

Detroit is a city with character, resilience, and undeniable creative energy. Being connected to Detroit has encouraged me to become more adventurous with fashion, embrace bold artistic choices, and approach beauty with an open mind.

I have learned that style is not only about what you wear. It is also about how you carry yourself, the confidence you project, and the story you tell. My personal style continues to evolve through everything I experience, combining elegance, sophistication, and fearless creativity.

Detroit has reminded me that inspiration can come from unexpected places and that adapting to new environments does not mean changing who you are. It means discovering new dimensions of yourself.

What are the most important lessons you have learned so far in your modeling journey?

One of the greatest lessons I have learned is that patience, consistency, and belief in your vision are essential. Not every opportunity happens immediately, and not every experience unfolds exactly as expected.

I have learned the importance of professionalism, preparation, communication, and remaining open to growth. Every experience has something valuable to teach me, whether it is developing my confidence, improving my ability to express emotion, or learning more about the creative industry.

Most importantly, I have learned never to compromise my individuality to fit someone else’s definition of beauty. My journey is my own, and I want every accomplishment to represent something meaningful to me.

The Midnight Series explores beauty through darkness, mystery, and emotion. Where did the idea for this series come from?

The Midnight Series came from my fascination with the artistic possibilities of darkness. I wanted to create something beyond traditional beauty photography—something mysterious, powerful, luxurious, and emotionally captivating.

I was inspired by the way shadows, dramatic lighting, intricate details, textures, and expression can completely transform an image. I wanted the collection to feel like an artistic statement, with every photograph carrying its own presence and atmosphere.

The concept allowed me to explore a different side of my imagination, where darkness becomes an element of elegance rather than something to fear. Every detail was an opportunity to create something visually unforgettable.

The phrase “Catch Me in the Dark” captures the spirit of the collection perfectly because it represents confidence, mystery, and the ability to command attention in any environment.

You describe the collection as powerful yet graceful, mysterious yet expressive. How did you bring those contrasts to life in front of the camera?

I focused on expressing emotion through my eyes, facial expressions, posture, and subtle movements. I wanted each pose to feel intentional without appearing forced.

The styling, makeup, textures, and dramatic lighting created a beautiful contrast between softness and intensity. I approached each photograph with the intention of creating an image that felt both sophisticated and intriguing.

For me, powerful photography does not always require an extravagant movement or expression. Sometimes the smallest detail can command the most attention. I wanted each photograph to invite the viewer to look closer and discover something different.

That same approach is something I hope to carry into acting as well. Whether I am communicating through a still image or portraying a character on screen, I want the audience to feel the emotion behind the performance.

Is there one image from The Midnight Series that feels the most personal to you? What makes it special?

One of the images that feels especially meaningful to me is the photograph featuring my custom dress by D&D Clothing. That look holds a special place in the collection because the dress was beautifully put together exactly as I had envisioned.

Seeing that creative idea become a finished fashion portrait was an incredible feeling. It represents what I love most about this process: having an idea in my imagination and watching every element come together to create something extraordinary.

That image reflects my personal style, attention to detail, and passion for creative expression. To me, it is more than a beautiful photograph; it is a reflection of an idea brought to life.

How would you describe your experience working with DIA’ANI Media and creating at DIA’ANI Studio?

My experience with DIA’ANI Media and creating at DIA’ANI Studio has been a wonderful part of my modeling journey. I have truly enjoyed the experience and appreciate the encouragement, creative opportunities, and support I have received along the way.

Being able to explore my ideas and see them developed into beautiful photographic work has made this journey especially meaningful. I am grateful to DIA’ANI Media and the studio for believing in my work and being part of my continued growth as a model and creative professional.

I value being part of an environment where creativity is respected, collaboration is encouraged, and ideas can become something beautiful and lasting.

What was it like collaborating with photographer Darryel (Dayday), and how did his vision help shape the final images?

Working with Darryel (Dayday) Moore has been a memorable creative experience. I appreciate his photography and the way he can take a concept I have imagined and transform it into a beautiful portrait.

His attention to lighting, composition, atmosphere, and visual detail helped give The Midnight Series its distinctive identity. Photography is such an important part of bringing an artistic vision to life, and I appreciate seeing my concepts interpreted through his creative perspective.

Seeing the final photographs and recognizing my original vision within them is one of the most rewarding parts of the experience. I am thankful for his contribution to bringing the series to life and helping create images that can speak to audiences beyond one location or one moment.

You believe the most captivating thing a woman can wear is her confidence. How did you build that confidence in your own identity?

My confidence has developed through learning to appreciate myself and understanding that I do not need to become someone else to be beautiful.

Confidence is something I continue to strengthen through experience, personal growth, and challenging myself creatively. I have learned to appreciate what makes me different rather than compare myself to others.

When I step in front of the camera, I want to represent a woman who is comfortable with her individuality and proud of the person she is becoming. To me, true elegance begins with self-respect, and confidence is what makes it unforgettable.

Fashion can enhance your appearance, but the way you believe in yourself is what truly gives it life. That belief is also helping me prepare for the next chapter of my career, including acting and other forms of storytelling.

What does embracing individuality mean to you, and what would you tell young women who struggle to feel comfortable being themselves?

Embracing individuality means recognizing that your differences are part of what makes you exceptional. Beauty should never require you to abandon your personality, identity, or creativity.

I would encourage young women to stop measuring their worth against the expectations of others. Explore your interests, discover your own style, and give yourself permission to grow. You do not have to resemble someone else to be extraordinary.

There is something incredibly powerful about a woman who knows who she is and refuses to apologize for it. My advice would be to trust yourself, celebrate your uniqueness, and never allow someone else’s opinion to determine your value.

The most beautiful thing you can become is authentically yourself.

What comes next for you, and what kind of legacy do you hope to build through your work?

I want to continue expanding my modeling career, exploring new creative concepts, and creating exceptional fashion and beauty photography. I am also excited to collaborate with many more talented friends, artists, photographers, designers, stylists, filmmakers, and creative professionals who share a passion for meaningful work.

Another important goal for me is to venture further into acting. I want to develop my ability to tell stories through character, emotion, movement, and dialogue. Modeling has taught me how to communicate through expression and presence, and I am ready to build on those skills by exploring film, television, commercials, music videos, and other screen opportunities.

I hope to connect with agencies, casting directors, producers, television networks, filmmakers, and creative teams who recognize the value of someone who can bring both visual presence and genuine emotion to a project. I want people to see that I am not limited to one category. I am a model, a creative thinker, a storyteller, and an emerging actress with the determination to continue learning and growing.

My vision is to build a body of work recognized not only for its beauty, but also for its imagination, originality, emotional depth, and artistic direction. I want my photographs and performances to tell stories, create emotion, and leave a lasting impression with audiences everywhere.

I hope my work reaches people across different cultures and communities and reminds them that talent, confidence, and individuality can open doors. I want to collaborate with people who believe in creating work that feels authentic, inspiring, and globally relevant.

Ultimately, I want the world to see me as someone with the talent, discipline, and vision to make a meaningful impact. I want to be recognized as a woman who is ready for the opportunities ahead—whether they come through fashion, acting, television, film, editorial work, or creative partnerships.

I want my legacy to reflect a woman who dared to imagine something extraordinary, had the courage to pursue it, and inspired others to believe that they can do the same.

I want my work to show the world who I am, what I am capable of, and why my story deserves to be seen.
