The idea of “Shelter” felt open to interpretation, and I liked that it seemed to invite viewers to think beyond the idea of a physical place. The contrast between vulnerability and protection gave the work a quiet emotional depth that stayed with me after reading about it. It also made me think about how the way we respond to people or situations often reflects our sense of responsibility, which reminded me of 1.1 Explain what it means to have a duty of care in own work role, where creating a safe and supportive environment is an important part of what we do. I wonder if different viewers come away with completely different meanings depending on their own life experiences.
