The way I are is a portrait series photographed by Javier Campos for MALVIE Magazine, with model Eva Gutiérrez.

There is no perfect version of the self, only the one we dare to reveal. Through raw portraits and unguarded gestures, this series captures the tension between vulnerability and self-possession — the freedom of being seen without pretending to be someone else.

About The way I are

The way I are keeps one outfit and changes the setting around it. Eva Gutiérrez wears an oversized dark shirt covered in white and red illustrated print over black trousers, her long hair loose and her lips painted red.

Javier Campos starts in a bathtub under green-tinted light, with Eva reclining, arms behind her head, then moves to warm and cool studio backgrounds where she stands square to the camera with a steady look, and finally lifts her chin, eyes closed, holding the open shirt.
