Between Two Cities, Two Sides of a Moment
Between Two Cities, Two Sides of a Moment is a portrait editorial photographed by Adia Alan (徐凯) for MALVIE Magazine.
Wandering between the flower fields in Shanghai's suburbs and the urban nightfall, capturing diverse emotions and facets of portraits amid the ease of nature and the serenity of the city.
About Between Two Cities
Between Two Cities moves through several faces and moods. At night a young woman in a white T-shirt and wide brown trousers sits on a green railing and leans on a wooden bench; a long camel trench coat and a beret walk past dark towers and along a curving pavement; and two black-and-white studio portraits show a man in an open shirt and a man with folded arms.
Then the series turns to daylight in a field of yellow flowers, where a woman in a pink camisole dress lies back in the stems, shields her face from the sun and stretches out among the blossoms, a softer counterpoint to the city.
