Chroma: Movement in Color
Chroma: Movement in Color is a fashion editorial photographed by Alex Carcedo Studio with model Lena schaich (Covers Models Management), published in the printed edition MALVIE Celebrating Diversity 130. In the photographer's words: "CHROMA explores the relationship between body, color and architecture through a visual language shaped by movement and light. Against bold fields of cobalt blue and sun-washed yellow, the model becomes part of the geometry of the environment. Strong sunlight creates graphic shadows and sharp contrasts, while athletic silhouettes and controlled gestures introduce a contemporary sportswear sensibility. Moving between sculptural poses, intimate portraits and fragmented details, the story transforms a simple urban setting into a study of rhythm, proportion and presence. CHROMA is an exploration of contemporary femininity through color and movement — where athletic energy meets the visual language of fashion."

About Chroma
Chroma is built from two colours: steps painted cobalt blue and a wall of sun-washed yellow. Lena schaich wears a navy racerback romper with white sports socks and white trainers, her hair pulled back into a long ponytail, a white tumbler set beside her on the steps. She sits with her knees apart, leans forward with her forearms on her thighs and lies along a step with one leg raised high.
Alex Carcedo Studio uses the hard sunlight to cut sharp diagonal shadows across the steps and her skin. Wider frames give way to a close detail of her hands resting on her knee and to tight portraits against the blue and yellow, where she meets the camera with a direct, level gaze or tilts her head back with her eyes closed to the light.
