About French Wedding
French Wedding follows a bride and groom through a park of tall trees, most of it in warm sepia tones. She wears an off-the-shoulder lace gown with long lace sleeves and a cathedral-length veil; he wears a black double-breasted tuxedo, his dark curls loose. The sun sits low behind the leaves, so the veil glows as he lifts it and as the two stand wrapped beneath it.
Aimy David moves between quiet close moments and wider frames: the couple face to face in front of a carved church facade, the long train spread on a grassy slope, an embrace on a lawn washed in golden light. The last picture switches to full colour, with cypress trees and a vintage silver convertible behind the embracing couple, a gentle, romantic portrait of a wedding day.
