No Rules, Just Liberation is a fashion editorial photographed by Dariko Tchitanava with model Avril Gómez, styled by Lucía Gómez Ramírez of Lüm Fashion Studio, published in the printed edition MALVIE Celebrating Diversity 130. In the photographer's words: "The editorial explores the transformation of the corset from a historical symbol of oppression and normative femininity into a statement of freedom and self-expression. Shot in a garage, the images create a sense of strength and urban energy, reinforced by the model's confident and defiant attitude. Through colour, layering and the combination of traditionally feminine and masculine codes, the project challenges the idea that femininity is associated with fragility, showing that a woman can embrace her femininity while expressing strength, confidence and a character traditionally associated with masculinity."

About No Rules, Just Liberation

No Rules, Just Liberation is shot in an underground car park, between white cars, concrete pillars and the cold line of fluorescent tubes. Avril Gómez wears a white structured corset from Lüm Fashion Studio over a cream satin shirt, with upcycled denim Bermuda shorts painted in violet, pink and blue, black pointed boots and a pendant on a cord, carrying a brightly patterned bag.

She sits on the bare floor against the wheel of a car, leans back on one hand, stands with a hand on her hip and rests against a bonnet, meeting the camera with a level, unsmiling look. Pink and violet eye make-up and slicked-back hair complete the look. Dariko Tchitanava keeps the setting plain, so the mix of soft satin, boned corsetry and worn-in denim carries the story.
