Shared Dream
Shared Dream is a conceptual fine art series photographed by Alan McCollough for MALVIE Magazine, with models Flos Lunae and curlyandblond.
Shared Dream explores the delicate balance between connection, dependence and freedom. Through intertwined gestures, sculptural poses and a simple floating cloud, two figures move between support, tension and release.
A conceptual fine-art photography series about the invisible burdens we carry and the relationships that shape us.
About Shared Dream
In Shared Dream, Alan McCollough works with very little: a teal studio backdrop, a dark wooden chair, two figures in light and dark blue jeans, and a small white cloud that drifts from frame to frame. One model sits on the chair while the other leans against her or lies at her feet, their arms reaching up and across each other.
The poses are sculptural and carefully balanced, with bodies leaning, lifting and holding one another. In Shelter the cloud rests in a lap, sheltered between the two; in other frames it floats just out of reach, with hands stretched toward it, while long curly hair and bare feet keep the scene soft and natural.
