About Spectrum

Spectrum opens in colour. Hector Santos stands in a room flooded with violet and blue light, a tall floor lamp with a caged bulb at his side and a neon strip glowing along the floor. He swings a long patterned coat, wears a printed shirt over a black open-mesh bodysuit and combat boots, and leans back into the light as if dancing with it.


Louis Short then turns the light white. Against a bare wall, with a spiked feather headpiece casting a crown-like shadow, the model pairs a white cropped top and the mesh bodysuit with a quilted floral bomber, worn, dropped from the shoulder and held at his side. Bold, playful and graphic, the story runs the whole spectrum from neon to daylight.
