About Urban Dakota

Urban Dakota takes Ryder Jacob Morehouse through the streets of a small American downtown at golden hour. He moves between two wardrobes: a sharp black suit and black shirt by Giles & Jasper, worn against metal staircases, glass shopfronts and white columns, and an easy off-duty mix of black hoodies, white tees and grey sweatpants by Lululemon, Nike and Gildan.


Victoria Lyubchenko shoots from low angles and close in, using the last hard light of the day: a hand shading his face, long shadows on concrete, a yield sign over his head, a sweater thrown over bare shoulders as the sky turns blue. Brick, steel and empty crossroads make the city the second character of the story.
