Happy to have you here, Suga. Tell us your story, how did you got started modeling and where is your home at the moment?
Good Day, I started modeling at the age of 21, I was able to attend New York fashion week twice and have endless memories. My primary hometown is in Houston Texas...I travel to Los Angeles, California often for work.
Tell us more about yourself. What else do you do next to modeling?
I am a creative who finds beauty in the ordinary. My passion is songwriting as I am able to create original music with a story to display. I write most of my songs with my Chicago cabinet piano built in the 1800's. I have a uptempo dancehall single I will be releasing in February 2022. I also started a new podcast called "Beauty with Shade" with my friend/ co-host Tichy! Lastly I was blessed to become a super host this month on Airbnb after one year of listing two of my properties. This year will be one for the books :)
What do you love most about being a model? And, what do you least enjoy?
I love the makeup and outfit changes the most. I least enjoy the age and height limits in modeling...I would tell current and future models to love yourself and never give up!
What is the most challenging being a model?
Most challenging is managing my time, with music, modeling and running three current companies my time is spread thin lol. I honestly enjoy the rush as I am able to run all of my companies remotely and still have time to bake some vegan cookies.
If you could change something in the modeling world, what would it be?
If I could change one factor in the modeling world it will be more diversity. Opportunities for all.
What fuels your imagination and provides you with inspiration?
Art and endless vibes fuels my imagination to be inspired and creative.
What keeps you excited about life in general?
My family keeps me excited about life. We have strong family values that promote growth and wins. I look forward to the future and currently enjoy living in the moment.
Looking back how has modeling experience changed your personal/professional life? Have you grown more comfortable with yourself since you have started?
Modeling is an expression for me as I am able to continue a healthy lifestyle to ensure I feel and look amazing. My professional life is great as I am able to navigate through meetings and events with style and grace thanks to my modeling experience.
What kind of life would you like to have?
Island life would be my top choice. I love my current life but love the tropic island breeze. I travel often to the caribbean islands and cry when its departure time.
What are the achievements you are proud of most of today?
Owning real estate is my top achievement! I am financially secure and able to pass down real estate to my son. Real estate is a great investment for short and long term financial goals.
