To begin, where are you based? How long has photography been a hobby and career of yours? What motivated you to get started?

My name is Ander, I am a photographer from Barcelona. Photography came to me when I was 11 years old, when I began to touch different types of art. At first I wanted to study architecture but my artistic streak was the best with me and I was inclined to study photography and video. Right now it is my passion and my work.

You've clearly worked with a wide range of models, what tips can you recommend to models looking to expand their portfolio?

My advice is simple: expanding your photography skills gives you more scope to contact more professional models. Contact the modeling agencies in your city. Expand your portfolio and above all use your social networks as a communication and dissemination mechanism.

How do you connect with your models? Do they tend to be people you know, or strangers?

At first I looked at my portfolio and my instagram. Luckily, I knew some very photogenic people. But with voice to voice and instagram communication, I was able to find more professional models. I also contacted bookers from model agencies in Barcelona.

Anderson, what are the biggest challenges do you experience in photography field?

The versatility, learning more knowledge of photography with each photo shootings , being able to climb the ranks every day and publish in recognized magazines. Finally to be able to work and live from photography.

Tell us a bit more about your project "The C parade". Is there any particular message you would like to get across to the viewers?

I always wanted to take photos with total looks, experiment with totally versatile models and show that fashion can be elegant and dynamic at the same time.

You bring a very high production value to your work. What is your retouching/production philosophy? How important is Photoshop in your final images?

Photoshop is a tool but you should treat it like a friend. Learning different techniques for retouching skin, color and style will make your photos look brutal and fantastic. I think my editing philosophy would be to innovate and explore new retouching options, but never overdo it, sometimes a simple photo can be better without so much retouching.

What do you love most about being a photographer?

Meeting people in the artistic field, exploring in my head new techniques and new things that I can implement in photos. But I can simply say that what I like the most is: feeling that I do what I love and putting passion and pride into it.

In your own eyes, what was the moment that your career took off?

2 years ago I started studying more photography and video techniques, expanding my skills and getting to know many people.

Fashion photography comes with a lot of stress, how do you handle it?

I think I'm a bit of a workaholic, every second I'm thinking about how to prepare new projects. I handle stress well because I am a person who likes to feel that I am doing things. I mean, I like to put pressure on myself.

What projects are you working on next, and what are your goals for the future?

Being able to collaborate with more influential people, have more budget for my projects and be able to take photos with much more projection. Continue publishing and hopefully publish in magazines like Vogue or L'officiel, without taking away from independent magazines. But above all, that people recognize my work and be able to be paid with what I love.

Where can we see more of your works and get connected with you?

I am going to make a change on instagram, I am going to start uploading more fashion photographs, publish in a magazine, have a private portfolio and soon I will open a website. I will also post on behance.
