About The Digital Self
In the artist's words, The Digital Self "explores identity, self-representation, and the relationship between the human image and artificial intelligence." At its centre is Linda Canova AI, a virtual model developed from the image and former modelling experience of the artist herself, wearing an original COR.AI fashion creation designed under her creative direction.
The series is built on sharp contrasts: a structured black suit and black turtleneck, cat-eye glasses, a short tousled crop and bold red lips, set in a minimalist space crossed by geometric bands of light and shadow. Close portraits alternate with full-length poses on a white plinth. As Linda Canova puts it, rather than replacing the human presence, artificial intelligence becomes a new medium through which she explores and reconstructs her own image.
