About Unfiltered Elegance: Authentic Beauty and Attitude

The series is lit low and dramatic against a mottled dark-blue painted backdrop. Vidhya Vijayakumar wears her hair in fine braids studded with small pearls, a dusting of lilac on her eyelids, a few pearls placed on her cheekbones and large square gold hoop earrings. A shaggy dark faux-fur wrap sits low off her shoulders, with gold rings on her fingers.


The camera stays close and the poses are calm and direct: a look back over a bare shoulder, a hand raised to the head, a finger touching the lips, fists drawn up beside the face. Warm light picks out the skin and the gold against the cool blue background. Each frame rests on her steady, confident gaze.
