Verdant Shift
Verdant Shift is a fashion editorial photographed by Harsh Desai with model Francene, who also styled the look, published in the printed edition MALVIE NOIR 134. In the photographer's words: "Verdant Shift explores the juxtaposition between sleek, contemporary fashion textures and the organic decay of nature. Utilizing a monochrome, fluid-satin sage co-ord from Zara, the styling presents a sharp, minimalist silhouette that cuts through a textured backdrop of fallen autumn leaves. The editorial captures a quiet moment of seasonal and textural transition—where the sleek sheen of modern design meets the raw, grounded palette of the earth."
From the printed edition: MALVIE NOIR 134
Verdant Shift is one of the editorials in MALVIE NOIR 134, the new printed edition of MALVIE Magazine, alongside Glam Doll, Energy Move, A Different Look and Soft Power.
The printed edition will be available to order from our print partners MagCloud, Peecho and DPBee.
About Verdant Shift
Verdant Shift is set on a tree-lined path covered in fallen leaves, with a black iron railing and parked cars along the street. Francene wears a sage green satin shirt with a zip front and wide, fluid trousers, her hair in a long sleek ponytail, a gold watch at her wrist. She stands with her hands behind her back, raises her hands to her collar and peers out from behind a tree trunk.
Harsh Desai closes the series in front of a white conservatory with a glass dome, where she turns back over her shoulder. The soft green of the satin against the browns of the leaves and the green canopy above makes a quiet, tonal autumn story.
