Fashion Designer: Sara Rewienska

When did you know you wanted to be a fashion designer?

I always wanted to have my own brand. I went to a business school in Chicago, USA. While I have an MBA degree, I love fashion and marketing, so it was a natural transition for me. I started creating my own designs because I couldn’t find clothing I wanted to wear in the stores. For example, I always struggled to find nice pajamas, and what’s currently on the market , I found too sexy, childish or plain. Therefore, I created my own sleepwear line, so women could feel cute and sexy in front of their boyfriends/husbands, but if they had family over, they can walk around without embarrassment. I love a classy and feminine look, and my pajamas are certainly styled this way.

You are not even 30 years old, but it seems like you have accomplished a lot. You are a luxury

marketing expert, your Instagram is full of beautiful photos from all over Europe, China and even USA. You have an advanced degree from an American university, and you even were a model. What brought you to Dubai?

Thank you. I came to Dubai as a tourist, but because of the lockdown in Europe and the amazing opportunities the city offered, I opened my business here. Even though I was born in Poland, I feel that I’m a global citizen, I can live anywhere I feel inspired to grow more and can fulfill my passions.

Can you please tell us more about your brand?

Femininity, class and elegance: these are the cornerstones upon which my brand was built. Inspired by the most spectacular beaches and luxury resorts across the globe, Larimelle encapsulates these beautiful places into timeless pieces our customers can adorn themselves in every day. We specialize in luxury sleepwear, swimsuits, travel and beach accessories that will help our customers make a fabulous impression and create lasting memories, wherever in the world they choose to wear them.

How would you describe your work to someone who has never seen it? Is there any message you would like your brand to convey?

The motto of my fashion brand is “Wear your travel dreams.” I believe everyone deserves to feel confident and inspired, and Larimelle was created to help you be just that. Whether my customers travel the world with my brand or enjoy my sleepwear collection at home, I hope my creations will make them feel as though they are always on a luxurious vacation.

Who were some of the essential people who helped you get where you are today?

My parents are my biggest supporters and motivators. They always believe in me, no matter what I do. Moreover, I’m convinced that having a positive self-image and attitude is very important. I believe in “law of attraction” we absolutely do attract the things we focus our efforts on.

If you could say one thing to someone younger who looks up to you, what would you say?

My main advice would be to work hard till you make it and believe in yourself even if no one does. Remember to be positive and visualize your success every single day. Even if you lack knowledge about an industry you would like to work in, you can teach yourself anything. I learned how to build a website, design clothing, source fabrics, and develop products all from scratch. I enjoyed developing my self-pride and experiences, and now I can look back on them with gratitude and confidence.
