Back to Paradise is shot among the huge buttressed roots and mottled bark of an ancient tree, with a glimpse of a garden of clipped hedges, palms and a low iron fence. Ana Pérez, her long red hair loose, wears a single piece: a teal satin slip dress with thin straps that catches the light against the dark wood. Red lips and nails pick up the warm tones of her hair.

Paco Jimenez Vazquez frames her inside the folds of the roots like a figure in a painting. She raises a finger to her lips, reaches an arm up the trunk, leans back into a hollow and stretches out along a root in the garden. In one frame she holds a red apple, a quiet nod to the paradise of the title.
