About Between Tides

Between Tides opens in the shade of a grove of tangled aerial roots, with warm low sun filtering through. Elena Sokolova wears a soft charcoal total look by MEENAZ, a bralette, wide drawstring trousers and a long open cardigan, then carries it out onto a pale beach where small waves fold onto the sand under a clear blue sky. Her poses are relaxed: hands lifted into her dark hair, an arm raised over her head as she walks, hands on hips at the water's edge.

The second half changes to swimwear by Five Oceans, a metallic gold bikini, at one point with strands of chain draped over the shoulder. She sits on a leaning trunk among beach greenery, kneels and leans back in the sand, lies with an arm curved above her head, and finally appears as a small figure alone on a wide stretch of beach. Warm sand tones, grey-blue sea and soft natural light keep the story calm and sun-warmed.
