About Crystal Pearls

Crystal Pearls is shot in front of a round rose window that glows a warm yellow against a beige wall. Martina V. wears a strapless gown by De Bourbon Collezioni in ivory lace over a nude lining, with an embroidered corset bodice and a fitted mermaid skirt, long sheer lace gloves and a headband of pearls on her long, straight brown hair. The palette stays narrow: cream, sand and the honey light of the window.

Massimo Casilli works with soft studio light and slow, graceful poses. A gloved hand rests on the pearl headband, both arms frame the head against the window, and she turns in profile to show the line of the gown. The last frames close in on her face, arms folded or a glove raised to the cheek with a quiet half-smile, and the series stays romantic and composed, all texture and soft glow.
