About Once at the Subway
Once at the Subway brings evening dress underground. Irina Khlynova wears a strapless gold brocade bustier with a peplum edge over a long sheer black skirt, with drop earrings, dark nails and nude pointed heels, her auburn hair in long glossy waves. White tiles striped in maroon, metal station seats and signs for Brooklyn Bridge City Hall Station frame every shot.
Luiza Kuzmina plays the glamour of the look against the plain platform. The model waits on the metal seats with her legs crossed, stretches out across them, turns her back with a hand in her hair and leans on the tiled wall between the signs, while close portraits with hands at the face and soft, faraway looks give the series a quiet, cinematic mood.
