About Midnight Couture

Midnight Couture takes place in an old stairwell: worn stone steps, a black wrought-iron railing, white tiles with a black stepped border, scuffed plaster walls and a polished wood panel. Lucca Rebecca wears a voluminous white faux fur coat over a black cut-out bodysuit, black sequinned shorts, long black gloves and black over-the-knee boots, with dark sunglasses in some frames.

Gilicze Márk shoots with hard direct flash, so the fur glows bright against the dim stairwell and every shadow falls sharp on the wall. The poses are commanding: one boot up on a step and an arm along the railing, a deep crouch on the landing, the coat held wide open, and a view straight down from above onto a figure curled on the tiled floor.
