About dans une autre vie
Dans une autre vie, "in another life", is set on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles at night, under the neon and bulb-lit marquees of the old movie palaces: the Los Angeles, the Palace and the Orpheum. Brook Castillo wears red-carpet glamour on the empty sidewalk: a red sequinned sheath with red heels, a black strapless mermaid gown with sheer striped panels, and an olive silk gown with a high slit.
Goizane Jayo lights her with a hard flash against the dark street, so the gowns glow and the city fades to shadow. Long golden waves, smoky eyes and old Hollywood poses complete a story that feels like a film star stepping out of another era.
