About French Charm

French Charm is built on one sharp, classic silhouette. Likhanova Elena, her dark hair cropped short, wears a black dress with a long silver zip and structured shoulders, sheer tights dotted in black, black lace gloves and a strand of pearls, with red lipstick, red pointed heels and a red handbag as the only colour notes. Cat-eye sunglasses come and go between frames.


Marina Mironova moves her through a quiet city in warm evening light: a café table framed by purple blooms, white fluted columns, grey granite steps, tall arched windows with boxes of red geraniums and a street lined with classical facades. The poses are poised and unhurried, a hand on the hip, legs crossed on the steps, a gloved finger at the lips, and the series keeps a calm, self-assured elegance from first frame to last.
