About Harbor Leisure

Harbor Leisure begins on the grass by the water. Karen Rivero lies on a pink gingham blanket in a yellow gingham sundress, a yellow headscarf and cat-eye sunglasses, with a wicker picnic basket, a bouquet of sunflowers and roses, pearls and a book. Behind her, white yachts and masts line the harbour.


As the light turns gold, Lawrence Mikel moves to the docks. In a backless navy polka-dot halter dress, a white headband and the same sunglasses, she leans on the gangway rails, sits on the pier above the water and rests against a concrete piling, the marina glowing behind her. Playful and polished, it is retro summer style at its most relaxed.
