About Always White

Always White keeps to one colour and lets black do the accents. On a cool grey studio backdrop, Sara Escamilla wears a strapless white jumpsuit with wide, fluid legs and a large black statement necklace of stacked discs, then a white one-shoulder mini dress with a single full balloon sleeve. Long black fringe earrings, black platform ankle boots and sleek dark hair finish the looks.


Miguel Angel Peris Sorolla shoots the series as a sequence of dance-like poses. Arms frame the face, stretch out to the side or reach high above the head, and a knee lifts so the wide trouser leg swings open. The light is soft and even, and the close frames show the polished makeup and the play of white fabric against the black jewellery.
