About Kristina

Kristina is shot on a wide sandy beach in strong midday sun, with white surf rolling in and, in one frame, a green headland under a blue sky. Kristina, her short dark curls tousled by the wind, wears a black halter bikini top with polka-dot or patterned bottoms, a long pendant with a smooth stone and stacks of bracelets on her wrists.


Adam DeGazon pushes the light bright and airy, bleaching the sand and sea to pale aqua and white. Kristina sits back on her hands at the water's edge, kneels in the sand, runs her hands through her hair and looks straight into the lens in close portraits. It is a simple, sunlit summer series built on her direct gaze.
