About Low Tide

Low Tide is a beach story with no sea in sight. It is shot on a rocky ridge above a vast, hazy desert landscape, in soft warm light. Denna Fenik, her blonde hair blowing in the wind, wears a bright orange bikini with tie sides, and the only water is a blue inflatable paddling pool set on the stones.

Boris Rizhik plays the idea with a straight face. The model stands in the paddling pool, lifts a white towel over her head like a sail, kisses a big yellow rubber duck, dives from a little white step stool, sits fishing with a long rod over the empty valley and lies on the pool rim with blue flippers in the air. The orange of the bikini against the sand and the pale sky makes every frame graphic and fun.
