About Porcelain Doll, No Strings
Porcelain Doll, No Strings is shot on a clean, pale grey seamless set with soft, even light. Aryna Tkachuk wears a pastel pink ribbed bodysuit, an oversized white shirt slipping off the shoulders and sheer white socks dotted with tiny polka dots, her long blonde hair loose and tousled.
The poses borrow from a doll on a shelf, arranged and a little stiff: legs raised straight up from the floor, arms held out like a figurine, knees drawn in, a long kneeling arch. Yet her expression never asks for approval. Igor Ogashawara keeps the frames airy and minimal, letting the steady, unimpressed gaze carry the idea of the title.
