Valentina in Action is one of the editorials in MALVIE Body Positivity 138, the new printed edition of MALVIE Magazine, alongside Noir Allure, Shadow and Shimmer, The Glam Rock Star and Between Shadow and Silk.

About Valentina in Action

Valentina in Action follows a dancer through a series of studio scenes. Valentina Lia curls into a tight ball on a white plinth, steps out from behind a giant black fan painted with gold branches and poses nude in red suede boots against a backdrop of translucent pink flowers. In another frame she wears a red-and-black lace bustier, a red mini skirt, patterned tights and long red satin gloves, sunglasses pushed up on her head.

Then come the pointe shoes. In a white tutu with silver embroidery and a small silver tiara she kneels on one knee with her arms raised, billowing blue silk behind her, bends low and dances with her own shadow on the wall, once in black and white. A last frame pairs a black corset with a red-and-black tulle skirt as she crouches low. Antonio Miralles Gasco keeps the light clean so every line of the body reads clearly.
